Yesterday, we (SFIA staff) had the opportunity to join our partner Good Sports for a product donation event at the local YMCA, which happened to be down the street from SFIA HQ. The recipient of yesterday’s product donation was the YMCA of Metro Washington, specifically their Physical Healthy & Driven (PHD) program. The PHD program is a nationally-recognized childhood obesity prevention initiative, which has impacted over 100,000 children aged 6-14 through YMCA after-school programs, summer day camp, in-school programs, specialized events and well-being programs.
